ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Brightsea Print Group, has for many years been in the forefront of continual environmental awareness, achieving FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certification, which along with our BS8555 environmental management policy accreditation underpins our complete commitment to environmental improvement.
The chain of custody certification proves FSC® certified paper used by Brightsea Print Group is globally certified, originating from well managed forests, and verifies that the raw material used is not mixed with raw material from uncertified forests at any point in the supply chain.
FSC® is one of the most globally recognised environmental trademarks. It was founded in response to an increasing concern about deforestation, and the need for trustworthy labelling of paper.
All of Brightsea Print Groups customers can benefit from placing the FSC® logo onto their printed items if they use certified stocks, proving beyond doubt chain of custody from the forest to the consumer, this gives our customers confidence in the paper they are using, reassurance that the chain of custody is guaranteed and the peace of mind to know that they are using a printer who cares about the environment.
Brightsea Print Group has made a significant investment in gaining certification. We feel passionately that as a printer, we need to be continually reduce our environmental impact and looking at better ways of working for the future and therefore we see FSC® and BS8555 as vital parts of achieving this goal. We have always had exemplary business practices, and this achievement now demonstrates, in a globally recognised way, our environmentally conscious outlook, something that all staff have bought into and are very passionate about. Brightsea Print Group has also made a considerable investment in updating its plant with 4 Konica Minolta colour digital presses which print all kinds of FSC® certified papers from uncoated, through to silk and gloss.
